Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
– Ephesians 5:20
In life we can be too aggressive, too passive, kind, mean, too much, and even not enough. The one thing that I don’t believe that any of us can be is…. too thankful!. As situations arise, and circumstances change, we generally will lose site of the positive things in our life, and replace it with complaining. The more stressed we began to feel, the less thankful we are. No matter how bad our situations get, we should always confess something to be thankful for. When we are thankful, it shows that we are trusting with God, humble with ourselves, and appreciative of others and all things that contribute to us. It is thankfulness, which gives us strength and peace. Have you ever confessed thankfulness out of your mouth and kept feeling sad? If so, I’m sure that doesn’t happen often. It’s hard to project something positive into the universe, and not be moved in a positive way by it.
This week is Thanksgiving. It’s a time that each of us should be showing gratitude, happiness, and thankfulness. Thanksgiving, is more than food, and the start of major holiday shopping. It’s a time where family and friends tend to come together. It’s a reminder that life’s challenges and disagreements can be overcome with sharing, giving, and love. This week find 5 things or people, that you are thankful for, and share your thankfulness.
Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.
